Case StudyThe Brief: The RJE brief was challenging and unconventional. Finding it difficult to cope with the inefficiencies of a workforce scattered throughout many offices, RJE needed a 2-storey building that could incorporate professional offices, a workshop and a secure external storage area, whilst retaining a cohesive look and a bold, modern profile. The Challenge: There were significant challenges to be undertaken with this particular project before construction began. The land was zoned residential, and the site itself had suffered contamination due to it previously serving as the location for a petrol station. Tanti Constructions set about submitting the design as a non-complying development, and managing the public notification and consultation that this process demands. The Result: The RJE project represents a ‘win’ in every respect. Through expertise and experience, Tanti Constructions gained all necessary construction approvals with a minimum of delay. The modern design is integrated, functional and very eye-catching. This design has succeeded admirably, overcoming early obstacles to qualify as a Finalist in the 2008 Master Builders Awards (category; Commercial, $1-2 million). |
